drinking water

alreynolds2003 Jun 09, 2003 07:45 PM

I have been using normal water from my sink and just have come to the conclusion that this is horrible.(took me long enough) There is nothing wrong with the water, but isn't there chlorine in it still, although not much, would it harm him? What should I use for his drinking water? I just got a exoterra waterfall, but I won't be putting that in till I upgrade the cage in about a month and a half. I was reading the box and it said something about biotize, calciumize and aquatize. Do these things work effectively, and if they do should I use that and mix it in w/ his drinking water, or is the normal tap water actually ok? Also I just received my reptisun 5.0, does that go inside the reptarium or do i just put it alond the outside??

We use tap water, but it has been standing in open plastic gallon containers for a couple of days - this lets the chlorine and other stuff evaporate.

Waterfall? Do you have frogs? If you got a waterfall for you chameleon - let me say that rarely will a chameleon drink from one. The one thing they are good for is collecting bacteria and attracting chameleon poops..!! We did some research when we saw those ... found that it is just not a good idea for chams - but great for dart frogs and other water creatures.

What kind of cage are you "upgrading" to?
