My male is sleeping in my newly made laybox

VTEC Jun 09, 2003 08:27 PM

I received my incubator today along with a bag of vermiculite so I made a laybox for my enclosure. I put my female in it to check it out, and she did for a minute then left it. I go to the gym and come home to find my male nice and cozy laying inside it sleeping. When it comes time for her to lay will she kick him out? Is it ok if she lays outside of the laybox?

I don't know if she will kick him out but if they are anything like the ones I have had and seen he will get out because of all the digging and dirt flying.lol. I have a shoebox sized rubbermaid for a lay box with about an inch of substrate and my females would litterally dig every bit of it to one end like 3 inches deep then lay in the middle of it. If you catch them before they dry out it is ok if they laid them outside the box but not the best. You should be ok.
