Mystery Peruvian Boa

biophiliacs Feb 24, 2004 05:56 PM

I've had this girl for a year, bought as a Peruvian. I've since lost contact with the seller and now I'm curious about this boa's locality. Any opinions?
Thanks-

You have your self a very nice looking Peruvian!!!!

She's one of my favorite Peruvians. I agree she has some type of color "muting" going on, probably a reduction in yellow. Her head type is a great Peruvian model. Her head is what I would consider larger for a boa, as they should be for Red-Tails. Very nice dorsal-to-lateral fading. I have two other males that I am considering breeding her to; an imported Peruvian(Gen-X) that is very clean, very unique(extreme) dorsal-to-lateral fading or the Quiggle White Pucallpa that I just got from Bill C. This picture is of three of my 4 feet Peruvians.. Iquitos(Todd Callan?) male on the left, Mystery Peruvian(Todd Callan?) in center, and an Iquitos(CFRB) female- these three remind me of the C. imperator post from yesterday(crossbreeding, localities). I'm at the point were I'll just have to breed for "like traits", a dissatisfying prospect indeed.
Thanks again-

Well, this is the boa forum. If it were the monkey forum... I got plenty of pictures of my primates. Thanks Mike T?
