Check out the classifieds section. There are a lot of very good breeders that post there. I have purchased most of my chameleons through it.

Where is there a good place to buy Panther chameleons online? Cheap!!!
Your chances of finding a panther CHEAP is unlikely. They are expensive chameleons. Like i said, the best place to find a well established breeder, and better prices is on the classifieds section. There are always a nice selection of panthers there, but like i said, your not gonna find one too cheap.

Going to a pet store like Petsmart won't even save you money. Besides being convienent to go pick up a chameleon, there's no advantage to getting one there. The last time I was at Petsmart, they were selling young veileds for around $80-100, and other reptile stores here sell them at similar prices. You'd get a better quality chameleon buying direct from a reputable breeder, and usually at a lower price. The term "you get what you pay for" doesn't always apply, in the case where an animal is overpriced to begin with.

If you are concerned about the price of the animal to begin with I question if you realize the cost of the animal for the long run. There is a lot more to consider than the price of any animal. The proper housing setup alone will most likely be much more than the cost of the animal if done properly. Plus you must think about the vet bills. I'm lucky that I live near a University, I have already determined who the herp vets are, and where they are. I have a daytime vet and a nighttime one for emergencies (one that is open ONLY at night, but they are expensive!).
Please make sure you can afford the pet before you purchase. Any animal will cost more in the long run, and they aren't some cheap plastic toy to throw away. They can't be let free in the wild and they shouldn't be treated poorly.

these are not cheap animals to keep and have very specific requirements. Here is an article on the costs involved:www.chameleonnews.com/year2003/july2003/costs/costs.html
Be sure to do all your research first and don't get them just b/c they are cool or have pretty colors. I don't own panthers but from what I understand they are one of the more expensive to purchase. As for breeders Ed and Liddy Kammer are one of the best www.calumma.com/. They also have a setup- check list that you may want to look at to consider what is needed, prices, etc. And, as the previous poster said - vet bills, you will not escape them and they can be expensive. Make sure you have a local herp vet before purchasing. if you don't have one in your area you may want to reconsider. here's a link to vets. Hope this helps!

YES chams are much more expensive than I originaly thought. I took into consideration food, water, lights, dust, and built my own cages to save money, but I never realized just how much their vet bills would be. not only if they get sick, but you need to have fecals done once or twice a year to make sure you dont have any parasites. they get them from their food often times.
