Whats so bad about housing different kinds of geckos together?

it really depends.

but possible things that can happen are:

- gecko can eat other gecko

- gecko can pass parasites to other gecko

- competition over food and hiding places

- territoriality

- overall stress increases (it's like you beeing cooped up with a guy who doesn't speak a word in english and you don't even know what the other guy speaks).

but that doesn't mean it can't be done, just have to plan carefully and determine which species can go with which.
