4&6. I liked a lot of the others. I just didn't like your hand in the pic. Just me being picky.
I love your collection. And, I really enjoy how you have set up your site. I am jealuos of your collection!! It is amazing.

I agree John, I would eliminate all the options with your hand in them. Not that they're not good pics, or you don't have nice hands Gray-LOL, I just wouldn't prefer that background for a business card. I think my vote going over them sort of quickly is number 21. I liked the side background and the boa filling up the left side of the pic. In the end, whatever you pick will be nice. Take care.
Paul
....good feedback. Now what if I told you that the person holding that boa was ________ (insert name of latest "supermodel"
. Would you still want to get rid of the hand?
You would almost certainly be required to insert a full body pic to accompany that hand!!! LOL! Take care.
Paul
....so you liked 4 & 6? We now have you pegged as a sucker for high color hypos. Orange and red. I have to agree about the hand. I didn't really think about it. I was just trying to pick the most clear, focused shots that showed the animal well. Most of my photos are blurry. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
gray
#9 or #12. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them - great job!
Yeah, baby!

lucky#13...or,#35....to be honest I like them all!...hand?...you mean there was a hand in one of the shots!?

You never experience life until you have kids..then you realize what you should have done rather then what you did do
They are all great though.. what type of boa are #'s 28 - 30?
definitely all great pics and superb animals!!
Patrick
Thanks for the vote. To answer your question, the animal in 28-30 is a "normal" I picked up from John & Kathy Mack at last year's Daytona show. You can see more photos of him by going to my site and looking for "Mojo". gray
Absolutely stunning animals.. I'm almost ready to sell my hypos to get some "normals" like yours.. I love the high contrast intra-saddle markings. Do you have any idea if that would be an inheritable trait?
Simply stunning once again...
I'm going to start visiting your site to check for 'availables'...
Patrick Metz
Patrick,
I'm not sure if his "look" is inheritable but I'm willing to find out. I'm sure his clean pattern and high constrast will be reflected in the offspring but maybe not the connected dorsal pattern. It was one of those deals where I took the time to go through a stack of deli cups on a dealer's table. Mojo instantly stood out even when he was coiled up inside the little cup. I also bought his sister. You can see her (Carmela) on my "sold" page. She is now owned by a student in my Reptile Club. I never saw photos of the parents but the whole litter was clean & colorful. However, none of them had the same contrast as Mojo.

that you take, Gray. You either have a LOT of photographic talent or spend an unusual amount of time taking lots of pictures. I suspect a little of both though. After looking at all of the shots again, Kathy and I like #5 the best with #13 a close second. By the way, which of your phenomenal collection is #5 anyway? The composition of #5 with the head and body in the background is just one of those very rare perfect photos!
Best of luck to you,
Kathy & Denny
Hey Denny,
#5 is "Alondra" one of my 2001 Red Group females. Thanks for your vote. gray
Man I had a long paragraph typed, and then accidently erased it, so here goes again...lol.
I would avoid the ones with you hand in them, they come off as less professional on a business card IMO.
A good one would be on a solid black background. Take whatever snake you want, one of your wifes black shirts or skirts (nylon or polyester seem to work really well) and a rubbermaide shoe box tub. Use the cloth to cover the tub, and drop the boa in. Sometimes it helps to cover it with the cloth to calm it down for a couple extra shots.
Just my thoughts, all of them are great shots, and awsome boas, just not sure about for business cards.
Hey if thoose hypos are starting to bore you yet....you know the rest...lol.

Hey Mickey,
Unfortunately, none of this was done with any foresight. All the photos were ones that I had saved from my backyard photo sessions. Sadly, I didn't have any really good ones of that hypo pair to use. I will be working on it this Spring before I get "bored" with them and have to send'em to NE. gray
Yea, I know how that goes man.
Well, you know how to get ahold of me when or if you do get bored with them....LMAO.
I will get ahold of you this summer, maybe send a couple more your way if things go the way I hope.
Have a good one, and as with everyone else Im envious of your collection myself.

I'd say #9 looks like a winner. It's hard to choose from so many nice pics though.
.
I actually voted for the PHOTO, not the Boa.

I have gone back quite a few times just to take a look at a hell of a nice boa collection.
Anyway, I have always been a sucker for an awesome hypo.
I HAD to go with number 6!
Awesome snakes, all the way around!

You have outstanding boas...but, the most appealing overall have no hand or wood planking showing in the card. Of the ones you posted, #5 is the cleanest, most focused, and most colorful with the backgrounds I mentioned lacking...
A natural setting, if their is a background setting, is the most appealing in my opinion.
Now, if those other boas were in a natural setting (or you can see nothing but the boa), all bets are off and I'd have to relook at them, because, as I said, they are outstanding boas.

All very nice, but I choose #5
