Little Help

Cuda Feb 24, 2004 08:30 PM

I am looking for a smaller lizard that has the same head structure as a nile monitor. I Love the looks of Niles but I can not handle one once it gets full grown. Is there any lizard that looks just like a baby nile that stays small.

Timor monitors look so much like Niles that I have one and I still get them mixed up. They only get about 2 feet long. The downside is that they're usually incredibly shy, even if they're CB.

I just bought a book with my guy. They like to climb and dig, and need several hide spots, decent humidity, and a very warm basking spot. They'll eat bugs and rodents.
They're not for everyone, don't go into this expecting a tame pet. It's like just getting to watch their behavior is a rare gift.
Check the classifieds for CB's, I know Regal Reptiles has had babies before. I'd get a little one if I were you.
