LEEWAY CORUCIA RESEARCH CENTER (LCRC)

Hello,

We have U. fimbriatus and as of yet, have not found a need to medicate. In the case of WC Corucia that are thin and obvious need of medication (Although always judge on an individual basis and consult with a vet-if possible.)we frequently go with a schedule of Fenbendazole (Panacur) Next week: Metronidazol (Flagyl) and 2 weeks after that: Fenbendazol again.
-the dosage based on weight. I just recieved 3 young imported fim's. I don't plan on medicating yet but they are in quarantine. I will post if medication becomes necessary.

Sincerely,
Brian

I found with my pair of WC henkeli that they had good body weight/appetites and I did not feel a need to medicate them. They have done just fine. But if you have a specimen that looks thin, doesn't have a good appetite, or has an obvious parasite load in the stool, I would medicate. I use Panacur once a week for three weeks, and then Flagyl once every 2 weeks for 3 doses. This will knock out the parasites. Dosage for both meds is 100 mg/kg, but do this under vert supervision if possible. It's easy to mess up, especially with the Flagyl. Good luck!
