my baby ATB hasnt eaten in about 2 weeks wich is fine, becasue its gone that long befor. so i figured id leave a mouse hopper in the cage last nite just incase it was hungry. i woke up this morning and find it eating the mouse, but backwards. in all my years of keeping snakes, this is the only one thats ever done it. when it was a neo eating pinkies, it did it once then also. it never had a problem till last nite. i came home from work early today (sick) to find the mouse had been regurgatated.i figured ill wait another week till it calms down and try feeding again. but what should i do if the lil bugger trys to eat the mouse backwards again?
thanx

Sure, it can happen. Most times it's not such a problem but I guess your little bugger just couldn't get past the legs in this particular case. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have had two or three ball pythons that seemed to like the challenge of eating feet first and it has never been a problem. Don't worry about it. Sounds like you have a good plan, wait a few days and then try again.

Might be going in to a shed; didn't have room for it after all. Just a though. Could just be coincidence. I have a GTP that eats from hemastats every time; funny thing is he eats from whatever end is closest to the hemastat. If I hold the item by the nose, he'll eat it head first, but if I hold it by the tail he eats that end first. Doesn't seem to have any affect.
