poop question

randi Jun 09, 2003 09:19 PM

It seems that every time I pick up my BTS and place him on my body he poops on me. Is it just Anubis or do they all do that? None of my other lizards do that except my cresties. Since they are arborial it is understandable. But for a ground lizard to do that is strange to me. I also have a schneider skink, leopard geckos, and a chuckwalla. Anubis is the only one who poops on my EVERY time. I actually had to shower today after he did his dirty work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Randi

Perhaps you should only try handling him on the day or 1 or 2 days after he has already defecated. That would seem to be the best way of preventing accidents.
