Average growth per year for Black Rats?

I bought my adult black rat snake a little over 2 years ago. She was 54 inches then and she's 5 feet now in length so that's about 3 inches per year. Does that seem like a normal length for an adult to grow each year? Does anyone else have records on their black rat's growth rate?
