lazy skink unexpected roommate

i just got an indonesian bluetailed skink and he seems to just like to lay around. Sometimes to the point where i think he is dead. also two days before i got it i had a house gecko but it thought it got out but last night he reappeared and now i have to wait a week before i can get the skink his own tank. Do you think they will have any problems within that week?
