Spitfire just keeps getting prettier and prettier!!!! Her colors are fantastic, and the pics are pretty close to her actual color. Blinkers colors aren't quite right...her "grey" areas are really lavendar...which is really pretty! She's a lot darker than when I got her...I'm not sure why...she's not very tangy anymore...but she does have a bit of orange to her. Anyway, here's some pics of the two of them after they BOTH shed last night...lol It's hard to tell when the albinos are about to shed as I've learned...lol luckily both (who have had trouble shedding before...) had no retained shed! Compare the pics of Blinkers I posted yesterday to those of today...what a difference a day can make!!

I was thinking she looks more like a rainwater. I have 3 rainwaters and she looks almost exactly the same. I always thought that Trempers were a little darker. But I've heard there are light Trempers also. I guess the only way to find out is if you breed her to a Rainwater male, and if the babies come out normal (they would be double hets), then she is a tremper. If they come out all albinos, then she's a rainwater. Best of luck, you got some great looking geckos!

The Rainwater Albino that has Hypo or Tangerine genes and it makes them looks alike to Tremper. I worked on Tangerine Rainwater Albino for 2 years. All I can say it is Tremper looks simliar to Tremper male breeder.

the thing is that Spitfire is from a PETsMART...so chances are she doesn't have very high quality genes...which is why I'm thinking rainwater...most rainwaters are lighter in color, where as lower quality trempers tend to have a lot more dark pigment... Although I realize rainwaters are less common...they are being more common, and I would almost think its more likely that she's just a rainwater than a high quality tremper... I believe they only had 2 (maybe 3...I don't remember) albinos when I got her, and they had similar coloration. Plus they had an older albino that they'd had for quite some time that had light colors as well.

The white ones are known as Light Phase. They are used Tremper Method of Ibuc. when at pet store not hot enough it will darken. Until it is on, 90 Degree belly heat. Few of them will be white. Tremper can be white. I heard a lot of people say that he signs Contracts with Petsmart and Gourmet Rodent for Petco. If you don't agree go breed to your Rainwater Albino male and see what happens. It is very likely Trempers.

I know tremper can be white...she's not white...she just doesn't have any dark pigment...I also know trempers can look like that...its just that all of the ones at the petstore had very little to no dark pigment...and I doubt it was 90 degree belly heat...I don't think she has 90 degree belly heat in most of her tank now...her color doesn't seem to change with temp. I understand that she/he could very well be a tremper...I just think that its possible she's a rainwater. If she is indeed a she I have every intention of breeding her with Bronx...which I planned on doing regardless of what strain she is.

produces thousands of geckos a year i am sure he keeps the nicer ones to sell on his site and wholesales out the others....... as far as i know the only albinos being produced in mass quantity are trempers.. not many people breed rainwaters and bells and the ones that do, do it on a much lower scale

there is no doubt about it..... they do look similar however there are some subtle difference like the head markings intra banding patterns (normally) and also the lines and patterns of color between the bands...... rainwaters dont get white either they get pink.. from very light to a medium pink also generally the eyes are different as well
