Batman or Bruce Lee?

Its funny, I read the "King vs. Indigo" posts on here and on the Kingsnake forum and its laughable. Its like the Ford vs. Chevy guys or a bunch of playground talk about how my dad can beat up your dad. Weird how you don't see that between any other herp communities.....it almost sounds like snake fights (much like cock fights) are right around the corner. Okay, having said that... blast away.....

(And please don't tell me that Bruce Lee would win because even though he was a real person, he's as dead as Batman...lol. It was a rhetorical question.)

It IS laughable...but that's really the whole point.
Other than a few that took it personally for some reason...
It was really all done for fun. Most of us are friends just playing around with this idea.

PS: None of them are a match for superman.

Yeah a few lost sight of the fun of the arguement. Hey just for realism and being the details guy I am I used a Georgia locality Eastern in that photoshop mock up I did. It just would have been silly to have a NJ Eastern chompin on that hog ! LOL

Very detail oriented I like that.

But, alas...the Great Georgian King snake is merely one the the many choices in the long line of stainless steel pans at the Golden Corral buffet that is the Forest Guardian's daily diet.

They'll take a couple of those with a side of horridus and a couple of copperhead poppers. Don't even get started on dessert.

I think you misunderstand the spirit of the debate. Everyone involved essentially has the same thing in common in that they love snakes. These forums are a great tool for getting and sharing info or reporting and yes bragging about ones accomplishments breeding or keeping a particular animal. After awhile of these types of serious posts its fun to let your hair down and BS about the snakes you love. Nobody is gonna throw these snakes together its all for pure nonsensical entertainment. I may one day have the biggest meanest King ever but I would never ever put it in harms way nor would any other person here on these forums.

I know, I was in the same theater and Bruce jumped 10' up in the air over to my direction, threw a few spinning kicks my way, stole my popcorn an coke and was sitting down before I knew what happened - the whole time Jimmi wouldn't stop wailing on his guitar...except he was playing the chords to "Kung Fu" fighting, that cheezy song from the 70s!

BTW, Bruce is teaching Jimmi to kick as# on the mat and Jimmi Bruce on the guitar!

I just need to buy a young King Cobra and start fattening him up for the battle. Let's see, a 12 foot King Cobra vs an 8 foot Indigo and a 6 foot eastern king as a chaser.

Hey Chris, if we're going that route, let's put a full grown, 50 lb Papuan Python in the ring. The kc venom would eventually take the Papuan Python... probably when the king was half swallowed.

I still say Godzilla could take any of them. Probably could give Superman a good battle since Godzilla's breath has traces of Kryptonite in it.

Thats why I like you Indigo guys.... you realize which parts of my comments were serious (really none... just commentary.) I was obviously kidding about snake fighting.... everyone knows that the only real way to see what snake is tougher is the best two out of three thumbwrestling matches.

By the way, Bruce Lee WAS alive into the '90s... he was a subject in an age reversal program and passed himself off as Brandon Lee. A side effect of the process was that he appeared slightly more Anglo and taller. Tragically, he was killed by the CIA on the set of The Crow because he knew where Hoffa and Elvis were hiding out.

Other herpers are just as proud of "their" herps as snake guys are of theirs. We all make comparisons on a constant basis, so while it's not mine "can kill yours" etc. with some other herp keepers perhaps, all the "what's the prettiest Hyla" etc. kinda questions are equally silly comparisons when you get right down to it. Usually it's just a matter of opinion in these sitatuions anyway...IMO!

Dean and Keith are right...some took it too far but it was just all in fun; I try to say that I "love" snakes regardless of what type and that's what really matters. Do your thing, take care of them, enjoy them, and hopefully other people stop thinking of herps as alien-like creatures. Those of us who work around an educational place where kids see herps know all too well what I'm talking about. We've got to protect our herp. friends!

BTW, my Chevy is faster than your Ford LOL
