the most a snake has sold for

was just looking at some breeders websites and saw that quite a few of the morphs run very high just wondering for my own curiosity what is the most a snake ( any type) has sold for. i hope noone is offended by my asking this.

Probably the adult male leucy that was equally owned by VPI, Nerd, Freedom Breeder and Designer Snakes. Designer Snakes have this snake on their website. They call it Snoopy. Unfortunately this snake has died.

This is one of those things that people don't think about when breeders ask high prices for new mutations. The 4 breeders above lost a huge amount of money when this animal died. There is some speculation about whether offspring were ever produced from this male. If they were, these breeders will probably get there investment back, although not as quickly as if the animal was still alive.

Depending on who you believe, this animal cost between $200k and $300k.
