the final tally from the voting.....

gray Feb 25, 2004 08:37 PM

Well, the votes are in and counted. Thanks to those of you who took the time to check them out and offer your opinion. In fact, I like your opinions....the winner was the one that I liked best. Now for the results:

There were 30 voters. Some couldn't decide on one so I did count multiple votes if offered. So the total number of votes was 50. And the winner is.....

#5 - 13 votes
#6 - 11 votes
#9 - 6 votes
#13 - 4 votes

That accounts for 36 of the 50 votes or 72%. All the others received only 2, 1, or 0 votes.

....that one took an interesting route.

I got that one with his sister from Mickey Hinkle out of Nebraska. Mickey owns a sister. The trio came from Dave Tracer out of Colorado who brokered the animals for Isiah (can't remember the last name) of Fantasy Reptiles in the Denver area. Isiah works mainly with Colubrids. The parents were Salmons purchased directly from Rich. I think there is a second "Fantasy Reptiles" based somewhere else. Confusing enough?

They are an amazing pair. I will get some good photos when it warms up in a month.

Yes as Gray mentiond, I was stupid enough to come off not only one hypo like that, but a freakin pair.....grrrr. You really have to hate it when bills pile up faster then sales (or should I say purchases pile up faster then sales). It makes you do STUPID things. That was one of the dumbest sales Ive made in over 8 years of selling herps.

As for the breeder, his last name is Phillips if I am not mistaken.

Great shots no matter what Gray, and all the boas look awsome. Hers a updated shot of the sister to your smokin pair. Can you guys imagine, the whole litter look similar to theese. Now Im not going to lie, and say they were all striped, and as nice, but they all had very consisten pink coloration, great looking snakes. Hopefully Ishah will produce more this season. Im still debating what to breed my girl to 3 years from now when shes big enough, Im thinking sharp strain dh's right now...lol but you never know.

Yay!! I picked the winner! I picked the winner!!

Like I said in my email, not neccessarily the MOST beautiful snake, but the best pic for what you were trying to do. All of the pics were great, and the snakes you have are gorgeous!!!!

if you saw the rest of that animal in person....she is hard to beat. An EBV Red Group female from 2001.

It was definitely a lucky photo. I wish I could get more photos like that consistently.

Anytime you want to have a contest and give away one of your boas, I'll be there with bells on. LOL...seriously, though, the pics were great, and the animals are just unbelieveable.

While the electoral college decided on #5, #6 actually won the popular vote.

gray Feb 27, 2004 08:18 AM

#6 ran out of public campaign funds so he was not able to fly (in a private jet) out to California for campaigning thus the shortfall in electoral votes. He has learned his lesson though and will hold more "black tie" fundraisers next time.

Mickey_TLK Feb 27, 2004 09:24 AM

Well seeing as this was just a primary, we still have the rest of the states. And I heard #6 say the following:

Were gonna go to Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, California, were gonna win texas, and YEAAAAAAAAAAAA

O wait that was Dean, my fault
