Crested egg incubation?

Birdhead1982 Feb 25, 2004 10:42 PM

Hi, I just put a male in with my 2 females and every thing is going fine but i dont really know what to do about incubating the eggs once they arrive. If I was to get an incubator, what temp and what do i put the eggs in? I read somewhere that it is good to open it up to let in fresh air. Does anyone know how often to do this? Thanks for any info!

If you have a room in ur house that runs about 76-78 i would just put em there in a rubbermaid conatiner w/ some holes in the top fulled with moist vermiculite. They should hatch after about 2-2 1/2 months. For givin em fresh air, just pop the top off of the rubbermaid about once a week to make sure that they look good and the vermiulite isn't drying out.

I reccomend gettin the Rhac book if you want some good reading material. If you have any other questions you can e mail me at fugi-669@mchsi.com _ BEn HokSch

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful.
