OT - I can't find the floor!

Demona Feb 25, 2004 11:22 PM

Ok...I snapped a picture of my living room this evening...and WOAH. I'm glad my gecko doesn't live in that room. I think -maybe- it's time to speak to my roommates about the...um...clutter problem I just thought I'd share because it's actually quite funny in a scary sort of way.

Please note that none of the items you see belong to me, lol.

I call it "flat surface disease." Every so often, you have to slough off all the lumps.

I can pretty much say i'm one of the people out there who'll dump stuff on the floor off of the bed so i can go to sleep LOL. As of late, i haven't been allowing anything on the floor because my dog loves to go through my stuff....and ends up making a larger mess. He has his own dog bed and usually he'll sleep up on the bed with me (under the covers with his head on the pillows if i allow it) but i've had to block off my closet cause if i'm tossing alot he'll go into it and pull down one of my fleese sweaters and sleep on that. I actually bought him his OWN fleese sweater but he insists on sleeping on MINE..... Currently the floor/carpet is a bit hard to see around the bed only due to the amount of fur on it hehehe (he sheds way to much!) Today is clean up the basement day LOL. My father is very picky about the cleanliness of the house....so all of these renovations is just killing him.....all of my grandmothers stuff is in our living and dining rooms with the furniture i'm refinishing in the garage (for sanding) and the lower basement (for painting). The house is by no means presentable hehehe. And this is only the beginning....we are going to be painting the living rm/dining rm/halls, redoing the kitchen, putting in new bathtubs in both washrooms and finishing the back deck, closing in half of it and extending the open portion down the rest of the back of the house. I guess clutter in the process of making things better is Ok....but the fact remains that if any of my geckos got out, they'd be gone for good hehe.
