Hello,

I was wondering if I froze some minnows if they would lose any of their nutritional content by freezing them.

thanks

Well, it will lose some, but not a whole lot. Some proteins break down when frozen and those are inevidably lost. However, There are many people that have raised lizards very successfully on an exclusive diet of frozen rodents, so there must not be much lost in the freezing process. Depending on how long you have the fish frozen, you may keep some or close to all of the fragile proteins. I am not exactly sure which ones break down under freezing conditions off the top of my head, and therefore i cant give you their half-life under these conditions.

hope this helps.
