Dumerils breeding question

mackdaddytom Feb 26, 2004 12:27 PM

I just purchased two beautiful proven Dums. They were seen copulating in Dec a few times, but the previous owner did not want them to breed so he kept them apart as much as he could. Now that I have them, is it too late to get them to breed more? Are there certain triggers that would help the mood? I did read about misting them with water. What temps and should I offer food? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...tom

December is when mine breed, by this time you may have missed it. Feed them normally and keep them healthy for the next season.

I've gone as late as March and gotten good litters. I have a trio breeding currently. Sometimes I put them together at the end of a year, other times at the beginning of the year. Depends on when they were last bred. Take care!
