My male albino which is still an AWESOME snake sorta looks like a bannana now that he is around 1175 grams. This female from the NERD has not fadded since hatchling size.

As soon as some of my fav normal girls get back on feed I will post some PICS. Right now a LOT of my snakes are skinny and deflated looking because there off feed.

I wish BP's would grow to the size of Blood pythons with the appetites of burmese pythons!

My take on the feeding response of balls is - WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE SO DARD STREAKY?

It seems like I always have a few that are doing nothing and then a few months later they may be the ones impressing me. I've got a 2001 girl who has been a pain in the butt and only weighed 700 grams in August. In the last month or two she has gotten what I call the "breeding imperative appetite surge" and ate 4 (I ran out) adult mice today in full shed to get up to 1,250 grams. Even with her recent feeding drive (which I'm speculating is in order to reach breeding weight this winter) she will not even look at a rat. As long as I can keep finding decent sized mice for her I think she may yet make it.

I also have a 2002 girl who went from 800 grams to 1,634 grams since August without me really trying all that hard. Lately she has been eating twice a week and I'll soon start cooling her and her mate.

Of course there are the down stories, the special project girl who went from 740 grams to 1,200 grams from August to October but has hardly eaten since and is down to 1,100 grams. Balls, got to love them. Of course I could do a better job of putting what they like in front of them.
