Should I worry about my adult female N. BTS?

rich_123 Feb 26, 2004 03:22 PM

I bred my female BTS about a month ago. She was an awesome eater before and right after breeding. She ate 12 superworms every other day, and 2-3 pinky/fuzzy mice a week. But two weeks ago, she started to not eat as much (about 3-4 superworms a week). Her feces look fine, but tinier of course. I've read that gravid BTS stop feeding not too long before giving birth, but isn't it too soon for her to be "fasting"?

I would feed her a good quality low fat canned dog food as her main diet. Give the worms and pinkies only as a treat. It is to soon for her to be going off feed IMO.
