Hi. I purchased this female BCI as a Colombian, however, I don't think it's Colombian. It looks Central American to me. I'm hoping someone will offer their opinion.
Thanks,
FH

With that saddle-count, the pinkish sides and the brown tail it is at least partly a N. Mexico (Sonoran) boa.. the square saddles on the forebody and the side-markings suggest it is a cross.
In my opinion..

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was the same thing. I remember I had a Mexican BCI once and it looked like this one does.
Any idea on the value of this boa?
I have some morphs and I bought this female to breed with my male salmon. I purchased her and a a het for albino male. The male is close to 5' and the female is close to 4'. I paid $350 shipped for both.
Any idea what I can do with her?
FH
If it was a pure Sonoran boa and you could guarantee that I think it would be worth up to $500.00.
As a possible Sonoran, probable mix/ $100.00 pet boa.
My opinion only.
Gus
Why don't we, as a community just call unknown or mixed locale boas generics the way they do with mixed localities of gray banded kings? Most of the "pet shop boas" out there are probably crosses of some kind, and it would just simplify things to say "generic, but It has the traits of this and this". It seems that every day someone is asking what kid of boa they have. It is either what it was sold to them as, in which case the seller knows the background, and represents it honestly, OR it is a boa that nobody can tell you with 100% certainty what it is.
