My Beardie Trys Climbing the Rock Background...lol!

Johnstud56 Feb 26, 2004 05:46 PM

He does this every day! Tries climbing the rock background! Should I get a new background or do you think he would do the same?

What he is doing might be glass dancing. I know my uros used to do it for the longest time. Im not quite sure what there trying to achive because there not going anywhere. I don't think if you change the background he will stop. Thats my thought hope it helps.

My baby does this every night, and his background is plain white. I think he just wants out.

Both my dragons do it. I always assume it means they want out. But just as I go to lift them out I think, the last time you did that and I let you out you went to the bathroom all over the floor/couch/ME/desk etc... Sneaky little bugger. Usually if they do that, I'll leave them in the tank until they go to the bathroom (assuming they are doing it around bathroom time), THEN they can come out. They've tricked me one to many times. Hey, I wouldn't want to go to the bathroom in my bedroom either. I've always thought about putting an 'inverted V' type ramp so they could go in and out as they please (supervised of course) but I'm sure they would come out, go to the bathroom in a pile of clothes then go back in and act like nothing happened. (No, really, I've just been sitting here... basking...yeah basking, that's the ticket).

ours do that. But they did it before we got a rock background. We thought it was because they could see their reflections in the glass. The younger beardie, I think wants out when he does that. The older one will try to dig into the rocks when she thinks a cricket has gone into it...

ya dude thinks its reflection is another beardie i find it entertaining its like mines bestfriend

I have the exact same background, and my beardie does the exact same thing! I always feel bad for him. But, he has had it there since the summer. He still tries to climb it and just never remembers that he can't.

mine does that also weather there is a back ground or not.

but shortly after i did put a back ground up, there's a log in the background. he would jump to get on it, of course falling and get up and do it again!
