Are the shelfs heated seperatly? I don't keep Ball Pyhtons so I am not familiar with their temp needs. As long as their container is the proper temperature then there is nothing wrong with keeping them in the same rack.
I have 2 shelves in one of my Leo racks that house Albino Nelsonii milksnakes. Shelves are on seperate thermostats so I can keep the gecko containers at their temp, and the milksnake containers at their required temps.

The only thing I can think of is to make sure that the snake can't escape. Otherwise your gecko might end up being a tasty little snack. If they are the reptile eating type snake.

ball pythons fav food next to girbles are lizards. if that thing relizes there are lizards right next to it, it just mite try every possable thing to do to excape. i mean as long as u kno for 110% that snake will not get out then it would b ok but otherwise i wouldnt risk it.

must be driving him nuts! lol. I keep my ball python in a 20g long about 5 feet across where my leo rack is, in plain view. He's spoiled with live mice too, I'm trying every trick in the book to get him to frozen/thawed. *sigh*

Yup, tried the tongs.. tried mimicing a crawling mouse in front of him with the tongs lol.. tried warming the thawed one up with a hair dryer to simulate a warm live mouse.. tried rubbing the thawed one on the live mouse and letting the live mouse crawl on it and stuff.. he just won't take it! I put in a live mouse (under very close supervision), and within 5 seconds he's constricting it and its gone! He doesnt want anything to do with thawed, although I havent tried pre-killed. I've had him for about 3 weeks. Thanks
