Need everyone's input on next herp...

boidsntegus Feb 26, 2004 09:10 PM

I am interested in adding another herp to my collection (see signature). The only problem is that I have limited resources right now and I will only be able to get something that is within my constraints. I wanted to get input from a broad range of herpers to see what people think. I need something that

1) Can live indoors year round in a 35 gallon glass aquarium
2) Is able to be handled, tame disposition a plus
3) Is not prone to hibernation

I think the cage size is going to be the biggest factor. I was thinking probably a gecko or some other lizrd. What about the water dragons and bearded dragons? I hear the bearded dragons are full of personality, but I think they need bigger enclosures. Anyway, I thank you for reading this and I appreciate everyone's great advice!

Can't go wrong with a Rhacodactylus. You could put a trio of cresteds in that enclosure, I think. Definately too small for a bearded, although you probably could put a Rankin's dragon in there.
