It's me again - the proud new mamma for a 2yr old viper boa. I truely feel damb asking this, since I can think of a very logical explanation for it, but I'd hate to blow it off as normal behavior, only to wind up at the vets( a place I'm known to bring in my crew for totally unnecessary issues, which is why I'm asking).
Okay, here's the question:
I know from reading/ sitting and watching mine that candoia are very fond of their water bowls. The question lies in when I go to take him out of there. Btw, yes he's auctually pretty mellow - so far, not even acted as if he was thinking about coping an attitude. Is it normal for them to kinda sound as though they're bubbling(for lack of a better term) when they first exhale out of the water bowl??? In my head, the answer is yes, because all it is is the water leaving his nostrils, but like I said, if I don't ask, it'll not only be an illness, but something both nasty and very contagious. The only other snake in the room he's in is my indestructable(she's tried a few times) ball python, and she's about 15 feet away.
I know it's a goofy question...he's only done it once (about 15 minutes ago) and it was only one bubbly hiss-type thing, then he went off to explore the rest of my forearm, as if it were nothing. I'd hate to panic...PLEASE tell me what the *bleep* I heard!!!
Thanks in advance!!
