I'm currently vice president of the South Texas Herpetology Association (San Antonio), and I'm looking to establish a dialog with other TX herp societies for exchange of information, guest speakers, and collaboration on advocacy issues.

Also, our club received this email from a teacher closer to y'all's neck of the woods--don't know if she sent it to the DFW club:

I'm a teacher at a small school in Dallas, Texas. We are trying to hold a Kids Environmental Fair for our students on March 8, 2004 from 9 am-11am. We have never attempted this before. We are
contacting several organizations and inviting them to attend or send materials or both. I was trying to see if your organization would be interested in attending, or sending materials and information that I can share with teachers, students, and parents. We have approximately 122 which includes:
students grades k-6 & a 3 & 4 year old class.

Sincerely,

Carlos Olivo

Hi,

Good to see your posting. Dialogue would be good - let's get in touch by email.

We did get the inquiry from the teacher in Dallas - thanks.
