I cannot offer you any suggestions on the real name but I can give you some advice. There is probably not a greater single source of animal suffering than pet stores. Here is a perfect example of an animal whose captive care is entirely species specific and depends upon knowing exactly what species it is. The pet store’s concern for the ultimate demise of this animal is obvious because you can only make generalizations as to what family it belongs to. There is a 99 percent chance that this animal was called from the wild, and just as great of a chance that it was caught by someone who has very little concern for the population it came from.
I do not recommend buying this frog. No. 1, you have not positively identified it and resultantly you cannot be sure that you can adequately care for this animal. No. 2, you will only support the business that is responsible for the unsustainable collection of wild animals. Stick with a species that is widely bred in captivity (or collect a common species in your area yourself, if it is legal), there's nothing to be gained from novelty other than that of professional breeders.
Sorry to have to give you the moral lesson with being new to the forum!
