how long are geckos supposed to be to mate and can anyone tell me how to make a egg laying bocks

ah, mine when breeding usually go around 5 or 6 feet long. No just kidding. The standard that most go by for a minimum is 40 grams and 10 months old. Length at that weight I would say is around 6 to 7 inches depending on the fattness. Females need to be nice and fat before breeding though I would actually not really breed one less than 50 grams with a nice fat tail. They will slow down on eating and loose weight because of the egg production. It can darn near kill a skinny small female. To make a lay box use a plastic container of suitable size for your enclosure. Cut the entrance hole about 1.5 inches up from the floor to keep the material from being drug out of it. Put about 1 inch of bedding in for laying and keep moist. I use bed-a-beast. Forest bed is the same it is a dirt made from coconut husk, not to be confused with the coconut hull chips.
