is it common to accidentaly buy a subspecies of the water dragon, or are most pet dragons a certain type? Could the regular water dragon and this one be crossed? Would the babies be fertile? If anyone has other pics of different types of water dragons, post them please.

if by regular you mean other australian waterdragon, then yes they probably could. I don't think you can breed Asian and Australians, or someone would have done it by now.

Aussies aren't a subspecies- Phys. Leseurii are completely different animal with different requirements. I don't believe they could interbreed with green (Asian) WD. They are a more hardy sp., although less into human interaction as greens. There's only one main breeder in the US- agamainternational.com.
