To start off, thanks terry for the pic of your albino. It's helped a lot. Now, at my local reptile store they are selling baby albino Everglades rats and baby normal Everglades rats. Price is not an issue, I was wondering if one was less common in the pet trade then the other. Which do you recammend I get? I likeboth of them the same amount, I've seen adults and I like them both the same*.

I have seen nothing to shown any health problems with albino rat snakes. Both colorings thrive in captivity. My advice is to get the one that YOU like the looks of. Please yourself.

albinos are a littler rarer than normals. Dunno how much rarer, really, though. If you cant decide, flip a coin.

I imagine that the normal baby everglades are het for albino since the pet store also has albino babies. I would lean towards the albinos being less common than the normal everglades, but that could change in the not distant future as normal everglades that are not het for anything seem to be scacer in collections.

I guess I would get both an albino and normal het for albino since you say you like them both the same or equally.

There's nothing like a nice normal adult everglades with yellows and oranges and the faint stripes. Now that's what I like. Mark, Dwight, Travis, Brian have some outstanding everglades in my opinion. I have to put on the drool bib when Mark posts pics of his glades.
