frilled dragons substrate

nogard Feb 27, 2004 01:32 PM

I recently took in a bearded dragon from a friend, it was very sick and had mites. My question is, although it has been treated for mites, should I change the substrate of my frills tank as a precaution? I use vita-sand, isnt it hard for mites to breed in it? Also I use bleached and rinsed cactus ribs for branches, should I take those out and bleach them?

I just recently went thru a bout with mites, i wouldn't take any chances. clean everything thoroughly, mites are a pain in the ass.
