Zophoobas???

mordiemann Jun 10, 2003 01:46 AM

Hi

I`ve started feeding my geckos with Zophoobas and mealworms, I have them in a jar, so the geckos can just pick them out of there. The geckoes liked them so much and eats up to 10 a day (Zophoobas), so they stops eating crickets. The geckoes are getting bigger and eating more, and I actually don`t like the crickets because of the price, smell and sound. So if they are nutrient enough I`ll just stop with crickets?
I have the Zophoobas and mealworms gutloaded with proteins, and they are always dusted in calsium and D3 vitamins.

Is it possible for me to just feed them with zophoobas?

Thnx alot...

I feed almost exclusivly superworms. I ju7st give crix every now and then for the chase and I always have a few around for my veiled chameleon.

Thnx alot!!!

But are they nutritient? Are mealworms or superworms most nutrient? Do I need to feed with mealworms to? or is there no need since I use superworms (The mealworms smells bad )...
Are silkworms or waxworms better food? I can`t find those two species in Norway.

In my oppinion gut loaded super worms are the best as far as nutrients that you can get except for maybe silkworms which I consider expensive to use. Wax worms are not really good as a staple food, too fatty. Good as treats though.
