Is there an escape proof mealworm feeding dish? I am trying to keep the mealworms from going all over the cage. The problem I am having is that my geckos still need to see the mealworms or somehow figure out they are in there.
Thanks!

many different bowls and dishes i've tried out for mealworms. Actually i'm over run with containers LOL. I was using these great UNUSED ash trays that were really deep but i found that even though the geckos could see them through the glass, they didn't always figure out that they had to go up and over the edge in order to get to the mealworms. I am always checking out dollar stores for new things to use. I'll be trying out some new ones once the girls go back into the 40 gal. They are actually oval soap holders, but turned upsidedown they work great. clear see through plastic so the geckos can see the worms, shallow enough that i am sure the leos won't have any trouble getting into it yet tall enough so that the worms can't escape.
Now all this rambling and ya'd think i'd be done but.......lol. I have also found, even with nice deep smooth dishes, worms out and about the tank. This is attributed to the leos picking them up as they walk through the dish LOL
Ok i'll leave you with that hehehehehe

I actually use glass custard cups. They are a little high but I place the cup right up next to one of their hides and they seem to do all right. It has worked very well for mealies, but not really foolproof for supers. I even built some tiles like steps up to a few, and made a platform of tiles on some others. The ideal feeding bowl would be a little more shallow with a lip on the inside to prevent the supers from crawling out. Until I find that I'll keep using the custard cups. I believe they are 2 once size and you can find them in sets of 4, for I believe $0.84 at Wal-Mart

I like glass petri dishes. I have the ones with glass tops, so you get two dishes out of each.
