Nice looking Jungle, BasicallyBoas. I'm glad you posted a pic of a jungle so I can put in my two cents on Bill's Jungles. As anybody can see they aren't the same but they have a striking simlarity- the saddles. Where the pattern is broken on BasicallyBoas jungle the saddles have the midsagittal(sp.) spotting, ie. spots on either sides of the spine. Bill's jungle has the same saddle type without the connecting, plus pink background color that is far better than most pastels or salmons on the classifieds. My opinion- Bill's Jungles are a variation on the true Jungle morph.

Take care and good luck this year, I hope you have no slugs and nothing but beautiful baby boas this year.
By the way do you have any new picture of BIG boas I could add to my Big Snake pages?
If you do just e-mail them to me.

Thanks

I was wondering if anyone has tried to breed a harli to a jungle to see if they are compatible? I was just curious.

Nobody that I'm aware of,is in a position(yet)to try it.To my way of thinking,it wouldn't be something that could be proven with a single breeding...the resulting offspring would need to be separately bred to individual "normals" (if I were to do it,I would choose "normals" from the same litter that showed no consistant anomolous expression,or,aberrancies.)to determine,or,prove dominance in transmission, regardless of visual appearence. In the past, breeding trials to acertain "genetic compatability",between two similar mutations, have had the luxury of monotypic expression in homozygous form, such as T. negative albinism,anerythrism,etc...what we seem to have in this case,is two variably expressed traits with some similarities, and, some differences...I think there are still some unanswered questions,in my mind about each one individually, and,I don't own any Jungles,so I'm naturally more focused on trying to answer some of the pressing questions I have about the Harlequins, rather than trying to prove they're Jungles, but,I'm sure someone will do it in the future.

I was wondering what is the average going rate on a harli? I have wanted to get one for quite awhile now, (ever since I saw the first one on this forum, but can't even remember how long ago that was..quite awhile I know..lol)

I was wondering also do you have a link to where they are posted when they are available?

Thank you for your time.

A CREDIBLE breeder and person shows what a real jungle looks like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once again bro, congrats on the smokin 03' litters. No worries, once the fruads stop selling the fake "jungles" and people actually start to see the real ones in person.............they are going to BLOW UP!!!
