I am very sad to hear that, I am sorry for your loss.

I would try to offer some advice, but I have learned not to, I am sure someone else will give you some info on that. I might take him to get a necropsy done, but I am sure someone will scream at me for suggesting that too.

Sad to hear, but if you bought him from a pet store...a lot of the igs they get are already sick and should be brought to the vet with a poop sample to make sure they dont have parasites and to check overall health...make sure if you bring home another one, you have him checked by a vet sooner...Lyn

I am sorry to hear that Chad has passed. How old was he? How long have you had him? You may want to have a necropsy performed. I know that this may be very painful, but it may be the only way to answer your question.

Sorry to hear about your loss. How ig proof was your room? It sounds like he might have ate something poisonous or some type of medicine.I hope you find out what happened to him.

I agree with everyone else, the only way you can really know how he died is to have a necropsy done. If you didn't see any prior symptoms, it could have been a virous or bacterial infection. Igs are very good at masking their illnesses. The poop doesn't really mean anything; igs release whatever is in their cloaca when they die.

Hope this helps and I'm very sorry for your loss.

Sorry. I wouldn't get the necropsy. I would take a serious look at your husbandry. Judging by your posts you have a lot to learn about iguanas much less letting it free roam in your room. I think you took some bad advice too.
If you are going to try again take some time and go over what you did, check temps, food choices, humidity. maybe do some research. I hope you have a couple books on captive care. I probably ticked you off and I apologize for that but I have a feeling it was "user error", so check it out and prove me wrong

I have read three books on green iguanas. i work at a pet store so i know a bit about them but there is alot of stuff i need to know and i know this. I know that he die because of me i do know what i did wrong but i know its was my mistake.

THanks for the help
