Congrats to Jade for finally laying.
Thats a pretty well sized clutch is you ask me, shows she's very healthy, besides the fact that she took so long to lay. Just reminding you to hydrate the hell out of her and feed her like a juvi after the laying.
A large clutch is NOT a good thing. It says thatbthe female was over fed and is at increased risk for egg-binding (dystocia). Smaller clutch size is often better. That being said, a clutch that size isn't "huge" but it is a bit on the high side. And you need to watch her closely. A single retained egg can kill her. At the first sign of ill health, get her to a vet for X-rays.

Congrats! so she finally settled on a place??? How long from the time you first noticed her change in color, appetite, etc. to the time she laid...I am still trying to figure out Luna!

jades attitude changed about a week ago. She got real fiesty. Refusing to eat and drink. And she loves to eat! We zip tie Roans crickets into his cage and he picks at them all day. jade doesn't you let you get the container attached before she is head in and eating. And she got real lumpy looking. I felt real bad for he to because my baby is only 8 monthes old and I remember how horrible it is when you are just about to give birth. Big as house, can't find a confy spot to relax in...
she dug around in my pothos for two days and made a real mess of it. I kept expecting her to turn brown with orange and green spots like in the pictures I seen. But that only happened while she was actually digging. Today she is starting to turn back to her normal colors.
We actually set the tripod up and videotaped some of it. we were dying to watch but didn't wanna disturb her. She doesn't even look at the video camera once. I must say that this was one of the most coolest things. I can't wait til she is receptive again and we breed her with Roan......
no signs before last week? Luna went thru changes in early december and has held her gravid colors ever since - this is one for the books!
The video must be really cool!

she's had brown spots for a while, and she was dull like she's going to shed, but no other color changes. She still looks like she could need a shed. In the link below, she only showed these colors while digging.
She was gorgeous while she was laying. You live in Montreal don't you. I could send you a copy of the tape. We missed her laying them and have her burying them. But its still really cool.

there is also footage of Jade the day she laid on the tape, before she started digging
