my friend bought me this lizard for my birthday and the pet store said it was called a pink bellied swift but it has quite a resemblence to a fence lizard i was wondering if anyone had any information

Rose-bellied swift, aka Sceloporus variabilis. They are a beautiful Sceloporus species.
