Is it hard using it? Where to buy it? How much does it cost?
Anyone ever use it to make cages? I'm thinking about making a couple for a few terrestrial turtles.

I read that it can release bisphenol A and can contaminate the water. Is this true?
Hello
I haven't heard about any toxins/fumes or anything else being released from it, but I guess it could be a possibility..
As far as using poly for an enclosure. It works alright if you have a plastic welder, or plan to use the 1/2" thick material (the half inch is better if you plan to router and use it as you would a sheet of wood)
imo a better material for making enclosures with is pvc or expanded pvc, which isn't much more expensive then the poly and is able to be adhered together with adhesive, and doens't require a plastic welder.
www.usplastic.com is an alright site to order plastic through, but usually you can find a local sign shop, or plastic distributor that has it for less.
Good luck and share with us when you get it completed.

You never experience life until you have kids..then you realize what you should have done rather then what you did do
I work in the plastic industry and use polypropylene alot. As far as strenght its not going to be very strong. As far as the release of toxins, it will only happen when heated. You will not be able to use a bulb of ANY kind in the encloser and all heating devices have to be monitored by a digital thermometer on the heating divise itself(helix, pro-products). If your goin to use poly of any kind stick with the pole tubs, totes that people build those racks with. And monitor that heat.
