FORCE FED THE REGURGER>>>>>>>>>>

cv768 Feb 28, 2004 08:23 AM

Well, we finally decided to resort to force-feeding. I've never done it before (only seen it done) so I was a little worried but with two of us it wasn't too hard at all. And the little motley didn't give us much trouble.

As of this morning she is still alive and has a little bulge in her belly. The pinkie head doesn't seem to be digested too much but hopefully that changes soon.

I'll update again in the next couple days.

keeping it down was......

you could have tried other foods even....

heads work.....

temps too cold???(under 80)

too hot???(over 85)..most people think of too cold but not too hot.....they regurge when too hot...food will rot then also....

too much smells....(chemicals and solvents or even perfumes,hairsprays)....

some corns just do badly....and die...nothing we can do about it.it happens to me every year...they eat well...grow a little..then just stop or regurge then die fast or slowly(months)...

I have one butter now that is so small ,looks like it just hatched..it eats...doesn't regurge..it just is doing ""crappy""///(probably freeze it and give up).....

.....anyways.........

good luck.....

I hope everything works out for you. As others have posted some times it just isn't meant to be. Like Kathy said in an earlier post sometimes the force feeding is what does them in. Last year I finally found the Kisatchie I was looking for. I tried everything I could. I finally got her force fed and she died that night. Keep doing what your doing and hopefully it will pay off. Good luck
