Speckled Kingsnakes

BBBruno Feb 28, 2004 12:50 PM

Since we are on the subject of very cool Kings that are largely ignored, is anyone working with Speckled Kingsnakes? Like nigra, they are very impressive, but are not often seen by hobbyists. I am particularly interested in specimens from Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, and east Texas. Also,if anyone ever does a true locale California King site let me know, I can provide photos of Oregon animals, and may still have access to the Nevada animals I had in the past. Happy herping everyone, and good luck in your breeding ventures, my critters are coming out today!

Hey man. Damn nice looking kings. Im in Harris County as well. I'm on the West Side, theres not too many places around here to see them any more. I plan on breeding some Harris county locale kings in the next few years. I'll see if I can figure out how to scan some pics in.

Hi!

Yes - that's right. This is also one of the snakes that are a bit forgotten, but very impressive.

This is my male - he is really large one:

I habe to make some full body shots.

Best regards

Yes they are nice. I've capture one in east Texas and a friend captured a near 5 foot female in east Texas as well as a hatchling. The female was immaculate with shiny black and bright yellow, enormous girth, and not a blemish on her. The dumbass let her escape the same night he caught her. I was pissed (I wanted her!).
