What kind of gecko is this?

Wort Feb 28, 2004 01:52 PM

Well I have had him for awhile but havent been really sure if he is what Petco said it was. Supposedly it is a central american banded geckos. It does resmbles them some but its lighter and doesnt have some of the same marks. He has white markings on his head not black like most CABGs.If anyone can identify it thank you. If not try and go to this link below.

ha thats funny, *Curses petco* well hey i got him cheaper then the leapord geckos that were for sale . I just wasnt sure cause he doesnt look like the other leapords i've seen. and here is a pic that works i think...

It is probably under a month of age. Their bands break up into spotting as they mature. Then it will probably look more like the leopard geckos you have seen.

HI

I agree with the above poster, it is a baby leopard gecko.

Hmm, well i have had this gecko for 3 months and his bands havent broken up yet, ill keep watching for it though.

Definitely a juvi leopard gecko, head is too large relative to the body to be a juvi Coleonyx. Give it a couple more months, you'll start to see spots.
