AFT's scared of something.

i have two AFT's that are juveniles that are kept in a 10 gallon tank for now until I get a 20 long. But they never come out in the day and they never go in to the humid hide. What can I do to make them feel more comfortable and allow them to come out more often?

First, AFT's are nocturnal geckos meaning they are active at night and hide/sleep during the day. This doesn't mean they won't come out during the day but its not really natural for them. CB AFT's will have a tendacy to be seen during the day more than WC. Is your humid hide over the heat source? If so you might try taking the top off and putting them in there and then put it back in place. Sometimes that will help them discover it. Also check your temps to be sure there neither to hot or to cold on the warm end.
