That means they are het for albino. that means if you breed 2 of them together you get thoeretically out of every 4 babies:
3 66% het albinos (1 normal 2 het albinos)
1 albino
-----
0.1 Albino Leopard gecko (Lex)
0.0.1 ball python (felix)
1.1 feral cats (Fuzzy, and Bear; it used to be fuzzy, wuzzy, bear)

If a female "het" albino ball python is bred to an male ALBINO ball python (i.e. homozygous albino) and produces eggs, then each resulting snake produced will be either albinos OR "het" albinos. The likelihood that one of these snakes will be albino is 50%. Therefore, in a large enough sample, roughly half of the babies produced will be albinos.

However, if a female "het" albino ball python is bred to a male "het" albino ball python, then each resulting snake produced is 25% likely to be an albino. The remaining snakes produced (i.e. the ones that appear normal) will consist of both "hets" and "normals". However, it is not possible to distinguish between these- at least not visually. Let's say (for sake of explanation) that we have bred 15 female "het" albino ball pythons to male "het" albinos and produced 100 baby ball pythons. 25 of these babies are albinos and 75 of these babies appear normal. Each of these 100 babies is 50% likely to be a "het". However, since we KNOW that the 25 albinos ARE NOT "hets", this means (statistically speaking) that 50 out of the 75 normal-looking babies are "hets". Therefore, we say that these babies are 66% hets. You buy one without knowing for sure, and will not know for sure unless the animal produces an albino in the future.

If you breed the "het" albino female to a normal male, then all of the babies will appear normal and have a 50% likelihood of themselves being "het" for albino.

The average listed price for female "het" albino ball python babies (those hatched in 2004) should be about $750. Male "het" albino hatchlings will be about $250.
