what is the MINIMUM required cage size for a corn thats in 16-18 long? and what is the best size to get?

also in what order can you buy mice(smallest to bigest)? is it
pinkies
fuzzies
crawlers
hoppers?

Yes, that is the order for mice....though some call hoppers crawlers. Then you go to small med and large. Though in my twisted world it is
NBP- newborn pink
P-pink
PF-fuzzy pinky (but smaller than a true fuzzy)
F- fuzzy
FH- fuzzy hopper (what is often a crawler....eyes still shut)
H- Hopper, eyes open....after that I go by grams. Obviousl I raise my own feeders

As to the size of the cage. I personally start hatchlings in shoeboxes (yes, the plastic ones that you then drill or solder melt holes in- for those OCDs on the board) Once they get to that 16-18 inch size I would have them in a 'sweater' box. So I am thinking it is 10"X12" or 12"X 15" or so...same deal, plastic, holes. Once they get much bigger I try to get a container that has one wall at least 2/3 the length of the snake if not long enough to stretch out totally. So, again, a ten gallon (at 20inches) would work. If you are going tanks you could likely, at that size, go straight to a 20long, plenty of hides for security and then you may not have to ever move it up to bigger.
