growing tail

#1.How long does it take for a gecko to grow its tail back?

#2. How long until the open wound closes?(where the tail came off)

Owned by 1 bearded dragon, 2 Leapord geckos,1 iguana, 2 cats,1 dog , 2 wonderful kids and a husband

from what i have experienced the scab will come off in a week or so. and you will start to notice growth right away... you will see the pink exposed area and keep it moist (like with triple antibiotic ointment) and clean with a half betadine half water colution... do the cleaning them add the ointment... i would do this about everythird day.... the more moisture you keep on it and more normal looking and non bulbous it will get.... i cant remember how long it took my one gecko to completely regrow her tail but it wasnt all that long maybe a few months completely healed and all....... but it also depends how much of the tail broke off.. if it was partial or full tail drop. oh yeah and make sure and keep her enclosure clean.. i would clean it several times a week if not on a daily vasis until at least the dark pink starts to get a light pink
