From what I've heard, the best way to get something done about petstores that mistreat their animals (or have animals they aren't supposed to have) is to call the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR). State DNR's know all the state laws regarding reptiles and such, and WILL get bad pet stores taken care of. People on the www.turtletimes.com forums have seen pet stores either vastly improve or just stop selling reptiles after calling thier state's DNR. Anyway, that's just a suggestion of something you might be able to...to find the number or an e-mail address you should be able to do a web search for the DNR by typing in: _your state_ DNR "department of natural resources". I think that would get you the DNR's website.
