Question on waterfall in carpet cage

stingeragent Feb 29, 2004 03:03 AM

I'm going to be getting an irian and jcp very soon. Now for one of their cages, I was thinking of doing the fake rock wall for the back of cage, and making a waterfall from it. Would you guys suggest doing a waterfall in a carpet cage?

That sounds cool. I'd like to know if that would work too.... :0)

i'm inclined to say no. in order for it to be asthetically pleasing it would have to be quite large. i think puting a large waterfall in with a carpet would add undue stress to the animal as well as having too high humidity which can lead to fungal infections etc. just give them a big water bowl and a good climbing branch. if you want a snake to put with a waterfall...try an anaconda. then again i may be off base. just be cautious. cheers, Schell

I agree. Waterfalls and carpets probably won't mix well and would stress the animal out. Just stick with a plain rock wall.
