Ok i went to petco the other day to get some crickets so i decided to check on some of the reptiles and as one of the guys that work there lifted up a hide there was a baby leo under there dead completly smashed then i saw some dead anoles in the next tank and almost all the ones that were alive had noticable bite marks on them(there were 27 that i counted in the tank) then i noticed they had ordered 3 blue tongue skinks they were about mid sized and they were all being kept in the same enclosure which was only about two feet long one of them looked like it had a broken leg and the other two had bite marks on them,then there were 2 chinese water dragons in a tank about 1 and a half foot long they looked almost full grown.

Does anyone know who i can contact to report this? By the way i live in northern indiana.

that's terrible. no i dont know how to contact them, but im sure someone on this forum will. my petco is kinda like that too

Try reading the threads that are already around before posting a question that may have already been answered. I posted like 5 threads down in a topic titled "Get something done about bad petstores" the answer to your exact question.

1. PetCo doesn't care, no organization is going to shut them down, and they have more than enough money to pay off resources. www.petcocruelty.com

2. Sure some PetCos are okay, but honestly it depends on the people who work their. One near me has some great people, but when those people don't work, the animals start dying due to other caretakers poor care.

3. If you want to, call or email your local SPCA/Humane society.

to do something about it or they get shut down...It doesn't matter if the store cares or not...If the DNR comes and tells them they need to fix things, they either have to fix things or stop selling the animals...A humane society can only try to get the animals from them, they don't have the power to force them to do anything about their future animals.
